Families & Parenting. Couples & Individuals. Leadership & Performance.

Therapy should change more than the conversation. I work with individuals, families, couples and organisations to ask the questions that have gone unasked, make sense of what keeps happening and work out what to do differently.
I am Marianne Le Coyte Grinney, a UKCP-registered Family and Systemic Psychotherapist and Vice Chair of the Association for Family and Systemic Psychotherapy (AFSP). Alongside my private practice, I hold a leadership role in NHS Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS).
My clinical interests include eating disorders, supporting parents of neurodivergent young people and self harm. I work with the challenges families face as young people grow and relationships change, bringing additional expertise in young people’s digital lives, AI and the influence of this on mental health and relationships.
I work with couples on sex and intimacy, staying together or parting well, and sometimes on how to stay a family when you're no longer a couple.
I am the Course Lead for Research in Family and Systemic Psychotherapy at the University of Birmingham. My doctoral research at the Tavistock and Portman examines family-based treatment for eating disorders.
Firebrand Consulting brings together my private clinical practice, international speaking and writing. I offer therapy and consultation for individuals, families and leaders.
